On Tuesday morning staff from Canterbury Christ Church University spoke out in protest to the changes made to the pension scheme.

The strikers' were members of the University College Union, striking against serious proposed changes to lecturers' pensions and retirement age, affecting present and past employees.
The government has announced possible increase in a lecturers' retirement age alongside a proposal to increase the amount a lecturer has to contribute to their pensions.
Staff was seen scattered around Christ Church University campus main gate with signs and banners.
Christ Church student union were contacted by the UCU requesting support from the students for the industrial action which took place on the 24th March. Not all students and classes were said to be affected.
"We understand why they are protesting and believe it is a good thing to stand up for what you believe.
"However we don't want it to affect our lectures and our performance," said student Jonathan Hull.
Strikes also took place at University of Kent's Medway campus and 61 other UK institutions. More strikes are said to occur if changes are not made.
