“I have four exams to revise for and so have been focusing on revision for the past week,” said Rebecca Kirby, an English Language and teaching student at Canterbury Christ Church University. With exams coming up many students are making the most of the free time they have to revise and go through lectures since the beginning of the year.
“It seems like there is so much to revise and that I haven’t got enough time to do it all.
“It’s definitely a very stressful time of the year where I just need to sit down and focus on revision instead of going out,” added Rebecca Kirby.
Time seems to be a key issue when it comes to exam time. Loosing track of revision throughout the year puts pressure on students when it comes revising everything they have learnt.

Holly Stevens, an accountancy and finance student at Christ Church University said: “It's stressful but when I get down to it I feel relieved and it calms me down. I've moved myself to work in the library as working around others that are working gives me motivation to work.”
Studying in the library seems to be a very popular option amongst many students. Whether it be working in groups on individually students seem to enjoy working around each other rather than being at home on their own revising.
With so much time being taken up for revision for exams, how have students balanced out their nights out with revision?
“I do still go out, but not as much as I normally did in term time. Some of my friends still go out twice a week but I've cut it down to Friday or Saturday night as a little treat to revising all week,” added Holly Stevens.
For some, revision has taken up most their time during the week, while others prefer to go out with friends. Club chemistry in Canterbury is one of most popular choice for student nights out. Club Chemistry however has seen a fall in the number of students attending their Wednesday student nights since the start of term 3.
Bouncer Dave Johnson has seen a change in the number of students attending Club Chemistry recently. “There is definitely fewer people coming to Chemistry on Wednesday nights however Friday nights seem to be the most popular choice recently,” said Mr Johnson.
It seems as though exams have brought some calming down for students when it comes to going out. Taking up new activities instead is the new choice to keep stress levels down.
“I am trying to take up swimming to help de-stress myself from work,” added Holly Stevens.
